The 2009 AES conference is held at the Sheraton Abuja Hotel and Towers in Abuja, Nigeria.
 
Accommodation for conference delegates has been arranged at the Sheraton hotel. The Sheraton has created a special website for the conference to aid booking of rooms. Please use the link to the dedicated website provided below.
 
When communicating with the hotel telephonically or electronically via the email address provided below, mention that you are attending the AES conference hosted by the Centre for Econometrics and Allied Research (CEAR), University of Ibadan and the Nigerian Economic Society.

Alternative hotels (also located in the Central Business Area of the Federal Capital)
The following hotels are available at reasonable rate and can be contacted through their website regarding rate:

Transport between airport and hotel:
  1. Participants whose flights land at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, can get taxis from the airport directly to the hotels. (There are registered taxis available at the airport and these are reliable and safe. They cost between 3,000NGN and 4,500NGN which is approximately between 20USD and 30USD. A car hire company, Yinka Car Hire, is an alternative option; telephone number: +2347040100602.)
  2. Participants whose flights land at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, have to get connecting flights from Lagos to Abuja. Local airlines operate from the domestic terminal (MM2) and taxis are available from the International Airport to MM2. There are frequent flights from Lagos to Abuja between 6.00 am and 7.00 pm.
