 JAE Notice "The Journal of Applied Econometrics has generously offered to sponsor participation costs for 3 African researchers who are 30 years of age or less who have had abstracts accepted for the conference. Eligible participants who wish to apply for this competitive funding must do so by emailing their application to: Professor Stan Du Plessis (stan@sun.ac.za) The application should provide a paper title and confirmation that the abstract has been accepted for the 2007 AES Conference to be held in Cape Town from 4-6 July. It should also provide a budget for participation including airfare, registration fee and accommodation costs. It is important to note that those who wish to apply for this funding need to register for the conference, book accommodation and pay for registration fees and accommodation costs through the regular online application procedure. In addition, they need to make their own flight arrangements. Successful applicants for a JAE award will be reimbursed directly by the conference organisers at the conference."  AERC Notice "The African Economic Research Consortium has generously offered to sponsor participation costs for up to 10 members of the AERC network who have had abstracts accepted for the conference. Economic Research Southern Africa, a research programme funded by the National Treasury of South Africa and hosted at the University of Cape Town in the School of Economics, has made a generous sponsorship towards the African Econometric Society 2007 conference.  The African Econometric Society would like to acknowledge the generous financial support from the Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, University of Cape Town, towards the full funding of the conference dinner.  The Department of Economics, University of Pretoria has made a generous offer of support towards the 12th Annual Conference of the African Econometric Society. This support has enabled a key note speaker from the UK to attend the conference. |
